Qualifications: B.Optom(Hons) (TPA)
After graduating with first class honours from the University of Auckland, Erin began practicing optometry in Adelaide, South Australia. Her love of family and home however saw her return to New Zealand after a few years.
She is passionate about eye care and good vision for her patients. She regularly attends conferences and seminars to keep abreast of the latest developments and research in the optometry & ophthalmology world.
An area of optometry that she is excited about is Ortho-K lenses. Having worn these life changing lenses herself for many years, she can attest to the benefits of wearing them, both with regards to the significant reduction in the progression of her short-sightedness as well as to the convenience and ease of use. Erin is delighted to be able to impart these and other benefits to patients interested in trying these lenses.
When not examining eyes, Erin enjoys snowboarding, playing music and baking. She is also involved in annual humanitarian trips to Cambodia where medical aid is delivered to villages with limited access to medical care, as well as in the planting of wells for cleaner water for the people there to use.
